Lunafruit – ‘Rise’ (Somewhere Soul Premiere)

We're extremely excited to give you first ears to the new single from emerging London neo soul trio Lunafruit.

After meeting at a studio in South London whilst working as session musicians back in 2015, the trio started writing music together and released their debut single 'Superhero' just earlier this month which has already clocked up over a thousand streams on Spotify.

Their latest release 'Rise' is another helping of smooth summery neo soul with plenty of jazzy undertones. Featuring a warm finger picked guitar melody, soft sax tones, and a stunning vocal from lead singer Sophie Grant, it's a feel good affair that gradually gathers momentum and shines during a particularly satisfying switch up around the mid section of the track.

Having cited influences such as Lianne La Havas, Jordan Rakei and Snarky Puppy, you can understand how the promising trio arrived at their sound and they clearly have no intentions of slowing down either, with a string of live UK dates on the horizon this Summer including Kansas Smitty's in London and three dates in Scotland.

If you want to keep up with their music and tour dates you can follow them on Facebook Facebook and Instagram.
