Ted Jasper embraces his soulful side in latest single ‘Back for More’.
Glistening keys, pattering percussion and Jasper’s first experimentation with lyricism - it’s fair to say we’re pretty excited to share this one. The release has been hotly-anticipated after its delay due to the sample-owner pulling out a day before its original release last month.
Inspired by the film ‘Rounders’, the track is based on the underground world of high stakes poker. Speaking about the new single, Jasper says: “I’ve struggled with putting words to my music since I started producing, it’s always been something I’ve wanted to do but could never follow through on - 'Back For More’ was the first track I sang on that I really wanted to get out.
The release comes off the back of a busy two years for Jasper. Riding the support of the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and Laurent Garnier, Jasper has recently been signed to label Au Contraire. For more from him, be sure to check out his latest remix of J. J. Cale as well as his previous EP ‘One Day’.
To support the release, Jasper will be DJing at NT’s as part of Jamz Supernova’s ‘Future Bounce presents Roche Musique’ night - grab yourself a ticket here.
