Track Of The Week: Tiana Khasi – ‘Nuketown’

Tiana Khasi delivers a fresh serving of shimmering neo-soul in debut single ‘Nuketown’.

Intricate percussion, alluring vocals and glowing keys combine in this glistening new release from the Australian singer-producer. Crafted by layers of loops and samples, the track is a product of a collaborative improvised session with producer Sampology and bassist, Sam Maguire.

Having previously lent her voice to the likes of The Kite String Tangle, Sampology and Golden Vessel, this debut number is released on the much-loved label Soul Has No Tempo. Having previously released work from the likes of Jordan Rakei and Richard Spaven, their support will undoubtedly serve her well.

The last year has seen Tiana rise through Australia’s ranks, taking on support slots for Masego, 30/70, Fatima and more. We’re not surprised either, take a watch of her live performance in Brisbane to see what we mean.

If you’re liking what you’re hearing, the good news is that Tiana’s debut EP Meghalaya will be released later this year.
