Track of the week: Tom Misch – ‘It Runs Through Me’

It’s far from a secret that we’re big fans of Tom Misch at Somewhere Soul. And if we couldn’t be more excited for his debut album, this latest sample of what’s to come has upped our anticipation levels once more.

This latest delivery from the South London singer-songwriter combines a breezy, bossa nova-style beat with those intricate licks of guitar we’ve come to know and love. Topping that off with a feature from hip-hop giants De La Soul, this is Misch at his best.

In his own words, ”The concept of this track is sometimes how I feel about my relationship with music… it’s something that has always just flowed through me and almost feels like my superpower. You can take away my money and house etc, but can’t take away my relationship and love for music. The De La Soul feature was the icing on the cake for this album… I’m a massive old school hip-hop head and this collaboration just felt really good.”

If you haven’t already got tickets for his upcoming tour, grab them here. Otherwise, sit tight before the album drops on 6th April.
