This week we bring you a slice of groove-heavy house to start your weekend. You may have caught the premiere of ‘Endless summer’ from our fellow-Peckham dwellers, Stamp The Wax. If so, you know what you’re in for.
Hailing from all different corners of the world, Swiss-based Alma Negra always promise a unique blend of music. With influences ranging from traditional African to jazz, Latin, house and techno, their latest delivery doesn’t disappoint.
As the first B-side track on their latest EP, ‘Endless Summer’ retains a mellow quality as silky keys and wavy synths provide the basis for the melody. Enter German producer Soulphiction. Upping those afrobeat drums and adding a killer bassline, we see a touch of magic applied to the original making this a staple house-jam.
If you want to explore more Alma Negra, take a listen to a particular favourite of ours, their 2016 record ‘Diggers Workout Part 3’. Or alternatively, Soulphiction’s vast collection of house and disco should keep you dancing all the way through till Sunday.
And remember! This track is still just a preview, so nab yourself a copy of the full EP from Red Eye and Clone.
